Barefoot Bahamas Holiday Villa Rental

Getting to Hope Town.

Fly to Marsh Harbour (MHH) from Florida, Miami, West Palm, Fort Lauderdale or from Nassau.

Immigration requirements

A valid passport is all that is required to enter the Bahamas, or or birth certificate with picture ID for US citizens. You will also need to present your return ticket home in order to enter the island.

Arriving at Marsh Harbour

Clear customs at the airport, generally an easy, friendly and painless experience, then take one of the many taxis to the Hope Town ferry dock. If you want to stop on the way to pick up liquor, or anything else, just ask the taxi driver to take you to the store where the taxi will wait. It's also a good idea to ask the taxi driver to contact the Hope Town ferry on his VHF in case a ferry is about to leave before you get there. The ferry pilot will normally ask where you are staying in Hope Town and call ahead to make sure someone is there to meet you. The ferry trip is about 20 minutes.
